Carter's Paintball Update Edition 1 - 08/22/07
This is our first official run of Carter's Paintball Update. Let me first say a big Hello to Paintjunque who I added to this mailing list, and heck... Was one of the driving factors for creating this list. I hope this finds you well buddy. Second, let me say I'm sorry for any news duplicates you might see if you were in the test group. Only so much happens in two days.
We're aiming to release this list every Wednesday as a way to get through the week and into the weekend. If you have news, upcoming events, etc that you would like to have placed in CPU, please send them to this special address: painthappy@gmail.com
HEADLINES
----------------
1. Tippmann Sports Acquires Atomic Ordnance Paintball Grenade Business
2. Dangerous Power releases the Threshold marker. This is to be their "tournament grade" gun. Only being released to sponsored teams, and limited to 500 currently.
3. Charles Nelson creator of Nelson markers dead at age 92
4. EMR had a few defender spots left for the Fall Castle. Hurry if you still want a spot.
5. Blue (of EMR) was asking how people felt about having TANKS in certain scenario games. I smell some interesting things afoot. Nothing concrete, he's just getting people's reactions to having one right now.
6. NPPL event in MO, will have their center court held indoors at Kemper Arena. If you want to see your team up on the Jumbo Tron there are still some team spots open. Date: September 21 - 23
7. PTP (Pro Team Products) was awarded patent number 7,231,911, entitled Assisted Trigger Mechanism. The application was originally filed in November of 2000. Think mechanical pneumatic. Let's hope they do something with this new patent and release some products.
MCB NOTES
--------------
1. I've purchased my DP Threshold, and will be reviewing it as soon as I get my paws on it. Gun is sold out everywhere, and could only get my hands on one. More to come regarding this at a later date obviously.
2. Erik "Schmitti" Schmitt, just got married. Congratulations!
3. MCB would like to welcome EvilEd and the VM Empire to our forums. You can find the VM Empire forums in the Armory section.
GUN OF THE WEEK
---------------------
My KL-17. I just received the gun (for the second time) in the mail. BretG's once again came through and touched up... Ok... He truly fixed up this gun and now I plan on putting it to good use. I can't wait to try this out in a game. I wanted to re-thank everyone that made this gun happen and made it possible.
I'll post the newer updated pictures on the forums when I get a chance to take them. The tank in the stock works perfectly now.
POTENT QUOTABLE
----------------------
Sometimes it's tough enough to even think about emptying your bladder, let alone take pictures. - splattttttt

The MCB mailing list is a weekly synopsis covering everything paintball. The latest news, scenarios, tournaments, and other paintball gossip. This is a text only e-mail that was started so our friends in the military that could only receive text messages could be kept abreast of the goings on in our industry. Paintjunque: This is for you.
The MCB mailing list will be released every Wednesday as a way to get something to help you through the week.
