| The patch gets embroidered with a leave-in stabilizer which is sort of consistent with a fiberous material. The stabilizer has a small amount of adhesive that is iron activated. Since the embroidery deprives areas of the back of the adhesive stabilizer of the possibility of contact with clothing(where you want it to stick), I come back with a heavy duty fusible adhesive that covers all the threads from the embroidery and gives a solid coverage of adhesive for application.
Will these patches NEVER fall off or peel, not likely, but I'm trying to get the maximum amount of hold. I also would recommend a few hand stitches if a permanent solution is required. I have washed these patches and have found them to hold well.
Thanks, Shain
