My Cd-Rom on my two year old E-Machines has decided not to read blank discs.

I have tried three different types of discs and uninstalled and reinstalled the driver for the CD-Rom.

Any suggestions?

It will read CD-RW and normal CD's - both data and music - but it will not recognize blank CD's.
