Alas, the build price at PPS is seldom in any way reflective of the market value of the resulting gun.

Unless it's in a wood stock or a unique Blazer or other "one off", the sales price can be less than half of the original cost. I have a Typhoon that I love but never shoot. I would sell it but for the fact that it seems more "cost efficient" to keep it.

I purchased my Typhoon a few years back for $3-400 and I would be surprised if I could get any more than that for a "standard" Typhoon these days. By "standard" I mean, like the others. BBT Typhoons and Blaphoons are worth more than a standard Typhoon for example, regardless of details of porting type or accessories.

Unfortunately, about the worst way I can think of to invest one's money is to buy a PPS paintball gun from PPS. You will not achieve anything but a loss if you try to flip it. On the other hand, you can get many times the dollars you spend in smiles if you just go ahead and use it to play paintball.

Good luck,
D.
