| Any custom anodizing is going to cost if it's a non-standard color. By non-standard, I mean a color that they've not made other Blazers in. For example, if you wanted a green body and a red highlights (ASA, VA, grip, stab, etc), it'll cost less than getting it anodized to match a color that you specify.
At any rate, your best bet for an economical, yet colorful Blazer, is to check their Blazers on hand page. If you see one that's mostly the color you want, they will more than likely swap individual parts out, for a fee. Palmer's motto is "Custom Still Means Something", which would be more accurate if they added "and that something is $$$$" to it. I don't think their prices are really outrageous, at least compared to some other custom shops or airsmiths. But, there again, PPS understands and abides by timelines and schedules, something that a lot of airsmiths do not...
PS: for true loudness, go with an 8" unported barrel. It'll be more of a "bark" than a "bang", but it's nicely loud... |
