We did headrush this year for NYPL... awesome group of guys who run the place.
My advice would be to go up the day/night before, and get a hotel room (its on the same property as the field) that way, its not more hours driving than being awake... lol
Talk to Ken Crane (he's the guy who runs the field) about getting a discounted rate if you stay at the hotel for the event.
