Yeah, you're right. They should jump right onboard with every cowboy doctor with too much of an emotional investment in his work who comes up with a new 'miracle cure'. Screw the treatments that have years of clinical trials showing their efficacy, let's go with something that seems like it might possibly, maybe, theoretically work based on purely anecdotal evidence!
