Did you see any reference to any studies published in a peer-reviewed journal? Clinical trials? A statistical look at the efficacy of the treatment? No, you saw anecdotes about people who say that it worked for them. Those aren't even proper case studies.
If something sounds too good to be true.. It probably is. No responsible source of medical advice could possibly suggest this treatment until years more research is done.
