Valve holes are indeed the primary adjustment method.

For the best performance, I found that putting a regulator in the front asa and then running the tank in a bottomline or rear asa adapter was the way to go. Or.. if you can find one, a VTS from Skanline (good luck with finding one though as they haven't been made in over 10 years and they hardly ever pop up for sale)
