Really? Where's the pressure relief valve on my A5? I can easily get that over 400 fps on CO2 without even trying. I pulled out a couple of USPs the other day to test fire them before shipping them out, and one of them was throwing anywhere from 350 to 380 on a BE twelvie. There's no pressure relief valve there either.

This is the same as that except in terms of velocity. No relief valve means that you can crank the cowboy **** out of the velocity of that gun. The fact that you don't even need to swap out springs to do it, like most of the older guns, is scary as hell.
|
Bull****. You hardly need to swap springs to hit 400+ on most older guns. I remember pulling an F1 illustrator out of the box that was running between 430 and 480, breaking about every 5th paintball.
You can turn any gun up to illegal speeds. If you can turn it down, it should be legal, it's that simple.
This is just tiberius playing stupid marketing games, pissed off at lost market share and striking out.

Everyone knows that people carry tools on the field. I have and generally still do field rule or not. The problem with not having a safety relief valve is the minority of those people who crank up their FPS. It happens, we all know it.
|
If it happens, and you know it, and you don't report it, you're part of the problem. I don't play at fields that don't chrony, and I prefer fields with roaming chrony refs, where you can get chronied at any time.

Product liability law aside the fact that a bunch of those got sold to the paintball populace is scary as hell.
|
Only for lawyers. Again, ANY gun can be turned up to illegal speeds. Should we ban them all? Maybe we should just throw paintballs at each other, so your feelings aren't hurt?

That said the fact that now people are going so far as to tell kids how to modify things related to high pressure chambers is also scary as hell.
|
Right, because no one has ever successfully and safely modified a paintball gun ever.

Given what I've read here and elsewhere I have no reserved feelings in saying that you all don't comprehend what you are screwing with, stop it.

Got some certifications to back up what you're saying?
I thought not.
