Just In case:
I hope, for the sake of all the people that have purchased SP products, that they are able to reopen soon. If not, paintball will (as a whole) will get a bad wrap as being an untrustworthy sport. That is in no way saying that SP is or is not a great company. I just don't want to see little kids who saved up for months to buy an Ion, only to resent the sport because they can't even get their marker fixed.
That being said, I hope that SP dials back on the lawsuits, if they do indeed come back. The paintball industry is not a zero sum game. Gaining dominate comes at too high a cost. Furthermore, if too many companies fail (even crappy ones ...
), the game could revert back to garage tinkering. And I for one like some of the modern paintball advances like, good masks, HPA, velocity adjustment, and chronographs.
