Thanks Chappy,
That's why I mentioned Ariakon, I had heard they changed the mags just enough to not fit but I haven't verified it myself.
What a mess all that is. You know, I've been playing 99.9% pistol since I saw my first 3357(86-87??) and I wish just once in all those years even one gunmaker had someone with some pull that cared spit about playing pistol. The fact that this mess of companies and threads and grip frames are all able to stay in business should tell SOMEONE with a brain that it's time to make a good pistol in the oldschool modding tradition. At $20 a mag over 5 or 6 years a cheesy JABB will cost you as much as a squall(which uses 10rd tubes), unless like me you mod your way out of it. THAT's why they don't sell a million of them, because they designed them to sit in a holster and not be used. Come out with a worthy design that loads from 10rd tubes and you won't be able to keep them once word gets out.
If Armotech had just lasted(or had ANYTHING resembling good customer service), pistol play would have taken off then the way it has with the TAGs now.
Even the TAG, as much as I like mine, is designed to be impractical to use as a primary in anything other than small team situations(less than 20 a side). If the co2 change(say a lever) were in the taclight position like the AFT, then the mags would only have to hold paintballs. It would get an extra 4 or 5 shots per co2, the grip would be smaller and the magazines would cost $10!!! One simple thing would answer every single complaint I've heard about the gun and in the process turn it into the best pistol ever made. If Mr Tiberius(with all due respect) had been playing pistol primary like I have for 20 years he'd have known all that, but it's just my stinkin' luck that Tiberius would think of the pistol as a novelty item, Tom Kaye would think that the sydarm wasn't even worth selling much less upgrading into servicability, that the Palmer squall would be exactly what it is described as on the website, 'a spring-fed Typhoon', no less and not one DOT more. If the palmer squall changed over to RamboPreacher's front feed(an idea that's been around since the sydarm), then it wouldn't need the back plug. If it didn't need the back plug then the rock could be mounted in front of the trigger and the ram could be mounted behind the magazine ON TOP. Bingo, one little change and the gun suddenly feeds WAY faster, balances WAY better and is one tube wide, instead of having the same width as a 44 revolver!
But there is no signature squall available from Palmer because they don't like playing that way.

I guess the moral of the story is that it's tough to be a pistol player in a machine gun world. Pumpers had their turn, their time when they 'ruled the world', but pistols still never have caught a break.
Many people would say 'make your own pistol!' and I have a system that I like in this modded out G2, but the point is pistol play is fun, more people would know that if a company with great customer service made a pistol that either came correct out of the box or could be simply altered to functionality. Look at the popularity of pistol games and tourneys as time goes on and wonder whether tournament ball would look anything like it does if some company had brought out a decent mag fed semi pistol back in 86.

End of rant.

I saw that OD zeus, that mag'll look sweet on there AquaScummm.
