I was searching the web for new ideas for my paintball collection. I came across a company that does hydro dipping of firearms and thought I would give them a call.
The process goes something like this: an object (in this case, a JCURT milled autococker) is media blasted, then a primer coat is applied. An image is selected to be put on the object, the image is then put im a vat of water and an activator is sprayed on and the paper drops away from the image. The object is then dipped into the water and the images sticks to the object. It is cleaned and sprayed with a clearcoat.
I contacted Duckville Imaging ( Duckville Imaging - Camo Dipping - Transfer Printing - Camouflage Dipping
) and spoke to the owner, Ron Huffmann. He assured me that what ever I sent him, he could do. I told him he could do whatever he felt would best show off a pump autococker.
Now if you are interested in what he can do, check out his website and feel free to contact him for a quote. Be specific on what you want done since he does not play paintball and is not too familiar with different brand markers. Here is a link to the sample images he can do: Film Gallery
If you have any questions, feel free to post them and I will do my best to answer.
