You answered your own question.
I think that much of this thread is going to be a "what's your favorite gun" discussion. But I would argue that AKA markers would be a good choice. Extremely efficient, uber-strict tolerances, built like tanks, and very little maintenance required.
I agree with what's been said about cockers too. They can be converted to whatever playing type you choose (electro, mech, pump, etc). So really, you're getting every type of gun with just the one platform.
