bit o' thread necro - mostyly on account of me getting new grips for my sterling:

1. to adjust velocity your first option (and often only option) is to fiddle with the hammer spring - either clip it, put additional spacers on it, or change it altogether - once you have it set you should be good. To be on the safe side - aim for 275-280 fps to avoid fps spikes going over 300.

2. If you are lucky to have one there are bolts with flow control (by means od a key going down the barrel).

3. - get a reg, though this requires a change in setup, and most likely an extension of the frame to mount it on - check the sterling picture thread - might give you some ideas.

Also - check your barrel threading - old sterlings use sterling threaded barrels, newer ones have spyder threads - would be a shame to spend $100 on a new barrel that doesn't fit.
