Probably because A) She isn't mad she went, but that Lori sent Glenn out (especially for frivolous stuff such as hair conditioner), B) She's pro-life, I mean really pro-life, even to the point where they won't allow the dead to be dead!
It was good writing. Woman over-reacting and creating a scene? That seems about right.
Maggie likes Glenn and sees him as a smart leaderish type, and she thinks his group sees/use him as nothing more than an errand boy.
