| Although I have not played with my own Promaster yet (didn't get the powered hopper until recently) I did a lot of checking and chose it over may other options as being of decent quality, ease of servicing in ALL aspects, size and weight. In all those categories it got good overall reviews as far as I could see.
Yes it does have it's own special quirks but most paintball guns do. Learn what they are (minimal and mostly related to balancing the internal LPR and main inline pressures) and then deal with them and you'll be happy.
I also looked at the Mini, PMR and Epiphany and the Mini was looking really good but as a definite mechanical sort of guy I finally decided that I didn't want to spend that much on a gun that I'd only use occasionally. So a used Promaster was the next best choice for me.
