Reviving a dead thread because I am seriously thinking about building my own Uber-Ion that will be almost totally out of aftermarket parts. I want a marker that is easy to maintain, a high-performer, and aesthetically pleasing.
Here are the parts that I have chosen so far, in no particular order. I believe these are all the parts I need to build a complete marker. Am I forgetting anything? (EDIT: I'm going to use my SP Progressive for the barrel).

The color scheme I am going for is Blue body on Silver with Black trim, all polished.

New Designz Ion Scorpion Trigger Frame - Silver

All these parts shipped, bought new, would be around $650. And, only the grips, seal kit, screw kit, and banjo fitting would be from Smart Parts.

My rationalization for this project is that it would be more fun to build my own electro than to spend the same amount to buy a complete marker off the shelf.

Comments and/or suggestions appreciated.
