I have a teardrop tip here that is definatly chrome plated. Unfortunatly, it is mangled so badly I cant use it. It came scratched to crap and I wnet through all the trouble to strip it before I realized it was so bent it wont even shoot paint.
Whether SP did the plating or not, I do not know. I have bought one before and I've seen others for sale in the past, so I'm assuming either SP did indeed make plated ones or someone went through a lot of trouble having a bunch of them chromed. Either way, they are out there.
At this point, I'd be happy with polished clear ano.
