Yes, exactly. If you ever wondered why the 1st gen Rainmaker had a LONG shroud, its because the battery pack sat forward of the ram. The 2nd gen simply velcro'd the 9v to the side of the ram, allowing for a shorter shroud.

But you don't have a shroud. So you have lots of options. You can ziptie the battery pack to the reg. As hideous as that sounds, thats the most common way.

I made myself a custom battery box to mount to the bottomline. It still looked quirky, but at least it didn't have zipties.
