They didn't say it increased battery life or reduced battery consumption. They said it "enhanced performance".
Telling customers their software had errors because it was rushed out the door would be bad. So they say "update" instead of "fix" and "performance enhancement" instead of "now your gun will work properly".
This company makes the biggest deal out of the most trivial features. I'm sure they would go on and on about updated performance enhancements..... if there actually were any.
