Same, and save 500 bucks too.
Now why Canon doesn't update some of the most popular lenses I don't know. They've been updating some of their non L primes recently (, IS on a 35 mm? Meh) and they are always seemingly updating the kits lenses for the rebels.
A lot of people including myself would love to see the 100-400 F4.5-6.3 IS updated. Or fix the major longevity issues that their 50 1.4 suffers from.
Who knows.
