Sorry for your loss.
The disadvantage of being an old guy like me is you lose a lot of dogs over a lifetime. The advantage....is that you meet a lot of new puppies.
Honour his memory, grieve him properly. But get back on the horse. Nothing fills the gap left by a loved, cherished companion like a new puppy.
