well certain stuff is tax exempt here. Heck all my hobby level RC stuff is classed as "toys" so it's tax exempt. Gas is tax exempt and food items like bread,milk,eggs etc are all also tax exempt. There are some provinces with 0% PST but with our new HST coming into effect it just means that instead of the provinces with 0% PST paying the 5% GST they now pay 13% HST as the taxes are combined into 1 tax. Suffice to say people are pissed off
