No, the blue piece is where the valve and spring sits (inside). CCM uses the same valve as the S6, 6.5, J2L and T2 for the J12. The difference is that they are using a longer valve spring for the J12. Easy to access from the rear and you can see what you are doing! The "blue piece" slides in to the main body of the J12 like a cartridge. So you have almost twice the amount of material surrounding the wall of the valve as in other ccm markers. Rod suspects this may be one of the contributing factors to the change in signature sound of the J12 (assuming you are using the same barrel to test).
