How would you test rifled vs non-rifled barrel?
Compare efficiency, distance, accuracy? I have plenty of space to do testing (outdoors unfortunately), I have a smooth bore barrel now with a rifled one on the way very shortly.

I'm going to do accuracy and attempt a dual chrono test.
Normally we collect velocity and impact location on an x,y coordiante system then do some math and we have our info. Match chrono speeds between barrels. ranges in the 75-100' are useful. much closer and the differences are tiny. Further and you need a target larger than 4' square to catch the paint.
