J-1 Position Opening

The Allied Command is putting out a call for someone
to serve as the group's J-1. If you're skilled programs
like Microsoft Access, know how to create spread sheets
and have the time to spend keeping track of upwards
of 2,000 members, we'd like to talk with you. Here's
a breakdown of what we're looking for;

Typical responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:

1. Whenever personnel reports come from D-Day Park,
you'll need to split the lists up and send them on to the
unit commanders. Also, there is a spreadsheet for Allied
wide head counts which tracks our momentum based on
the closest date from the previous year that would also
need to be sent out. (Usually about once a month)

2. Keeping the allied database up to date (it's in access
so having that or a compatible database software would
be helpful)

3. Fulfilling requests for personnel reports from unit
commanders.

4. Getting reports from D-Day Park during the week of
the event on who we have on site and also getting that
information to both unit Commanders and their S-1's.

If you're interested, we'd like to start off by learning
some things that you think we can do that would improve
the whole personnel process that we had last year. What
worked, what didn't work, and then basic thoughts on
how you would improve them. The D-Day Park is already
saying that they will handle all of the in-processing during
the week of the event, so you would need to think about
that too.

OK, so all this time you thought that the game pretty
much runs itself and that all as as the Staff had to do
is drink, strut around in period uniforms and get our
pictures taken. Well folks I hate to burst your bubble,
but it's better to clear the air now rather than later.

Anyone with an interest in applying for this role is
asked to either give me a call or send me your contact
details so I can pass them up the chain.

Thanks,
