I'd don't mean to sound rude but that really isn't true. The CVX valve in the Pro/Carbine is MUCH more rugged and more reliable in cold conditions and works better with liquid.

They are really two totally different guns. The only similarity really is the foregrip.

The carbine is the better choice though. It has the better CVX valve, uses Model 98 drive springs and link arms (easy to find replacements), and is newer (also makes it easier to find replacement parts).
