Ok, does this seem like a reasonable theory?
It looks like the area around the tip of the bolt has some damage. Does it sound reasonable that the wear there is causing the oring in the front of the cylinder to fail to fully seal?
I tried turning down the lpr and pushing the bolt forward a little from the back. Seems like after about an 1/8th of an inch the leaking stops.
Does this happen, or does this sound ridiculously unheard of? And what causes that wear? Looks like someone took a wrench to it, but I guess it's from the detent maybe? Here's some pics...
