^^ Sounds like he was just turning them inside out and putting new labels on them. I have two packages today that I am sending out in reused boxes. We'll see how it goes. One is a Medium box that I cut down and covered in brown paper and taped. The other is a small flat rate that I covered and taped.
I read a couple more articles that said if they suspect it is a Flat Rate box, they reserve the right to open it and check even if its covered. Personally, I disagree with this, but guess it's their rules. I still say if you cut a box down and cover it, you would be less apt to get it looked at.
