A Flatline should fit your M98 fine. Even with the new threads, you can use the new barrels from my experience. If you loosen the screw that goes into the front site before screwing the barrels in, they should fit fine. At least, it worked for me.
As stated by DSH, with the Egrip or RT, I think you would need milling done either way for that to work.
