Based on the dosage whether it will be effective against anything or not. I have used Merit in the past and it takes a lot of product to knock down the simplest of insect, that a more potent pesticide would have taken out in minutes. I have done tree infections, mauget ( pronounced mo-sh-jay) treatments as well topical applications for years. As most realize that steps in this direction are better for the environment all together, most landscape owners want to see results vs whats new in the industry as this is what they are paying for. I have argued this with many bosses in the past, that want to use long term insect control, but your customers want to see instant results, especially with nuisance problems like lacebugs, jap beetles and and other insects that cause major damage in a minimal amount of time.
