If the downstream flow because supersaturated with liquid co2 (because of angle, etc), it could easily go supercritical on a warm day, resulting in a pressure spike of 2000-3000psi!

I accidently shot a regulator piston out the back of a classic mag at a speed such that it went clear through about an inch of soft pine chair rail, and is still in my wall somewhere. I can only assume that it went through the insulation in the wall, too.
Now, that was the result of liquid c02 trapped between the on/off ASA and the valve, no tank attached. The gun was tipped sideways (someone else had been using it) and I was taking off a lock on the velocity adjuster.
They're a brilliant marker, but dangerous too.
