I was considering that idea, Ive seen some other people do some great work with that concept, but my little experiment was a complete success.
This worked out so well I can't even begin to explain. here are the after pics I really couldn't have hoped for anything better. I wish I took a picture before I had sanded it, but oh well.
all I had to do was sand it lightly by hand, and now it's smoother than a babies bottom.
Again, I can't help but be impressed by the results. Now I gotta get back to the trigger tray...
