TechT Trilogy Timing rod. I recieved a Trilogy Autococker in the mail a couple weeks ago, and I plan on using it at the Canobie Big Game tomorrow (sunday 4/20) The one thing is the trigger pull on the marker is atrocious as far as autocockers go, so I ordered a timing shaft from Techt.com
I got it in this afternoon, no instructions came with it, but knowing how autocockers work I quickly figured out how to install it, and got to work timing it as tightly as I can. Prior to getting the shaft, I threw a Taso Hump-back frame I had sitting on a Sniper on the marker since that 1.5 pivot frame is AWFUL. With the slider frame it was actually a little worse, not impossible to time it reliably, but it was much too long, almost a centimeter pull.
When I swapped out the timing shafts, I then tweaked the new one to the point where dry-firing it with tissue paper over the feedneck resulted in the tissue paper getting sucked into it. I then set the trigger stop right after where the three-way reset, it came to about six and a half millimeters. I decided I could do better. I pulled up the hammer lug to the point that the sear would trip just before the front surface of the timing rod slot engaged the rod and re-adjusted the timing rod to match, and I got the trigger pull down to between 3.5 and 4.5 millimeters. That one change alone and my trilogy is now a beast, my 12 volt revvy struggles to keep up with it, I don't get any chops, but when I really start railing on the trigger I'll get gaps in the stream of shots. I can still short-stroke if I try, but in gameplay, it's not going to happen.
Overall, this is the part that with a little tweaking knowhow can turn a Trilogy from a mediocre effort to create a unique entry level marker, to a legitimate autococker that will run with the best of them. If you know how to adjust an autococker and want to try a trilogy, don't do so without one of these. I'll give this review an update Tomorrow evening after the Canobie Spring shoot, I intend to use this gun as my primary now that I've got this marker ready to go.
