*Post disclaimer: At least 12oz of fine Virgin islands rum is circulating in my bloodstream*

As far as reliability and fine craftsmanship are concerned.
A nightmare LB is never going to compare as far as performance is concerned with say, a Traccer. both were entry level, albeit seperated by Time.
Take your average X-7 and your average JT tac-5 or whatever their 'Milsim' gun is. The X-7 is superior, but not by a whole lot, from all reports. Certainly not up to the level of my hand tuned .68 carbine, and Definitly not to the order of a palmers, CCM, CCI, or AM fine tuned, Elegant paint slingers.

Tippmann has gone downhill recently, but really, who hasn't?
I have a 18" Smartparts All American Barrel on the aforementioned Carbine, and I have never found a barrel that could compete as far as magical accuracy and range pixies. Nothing else explains the unusual performance of this particular barrel. And the Current gen SP barrels are hardly comparable.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that nothing is ever as good as we remember it. Till we get our hands on some of the old stuff off E-bay, and realize that yes, They really don't make them as good as they used to.

Either that, or the paint has gotten way better, and our old VM's and splatmasters are just rubbed the right way by modern Marballizers.
