Jake, the failure I was speaking of is not specific to "nelson designed semi's".. but pumps that are turned to semis. Take a bicycle...works fine when you peddle it.. strap a lawn mower engine on it and it will wear out quickly.
if not done carefully (and watched and maintained with infinite care) your semi conversion on a pump based nelson will lead to failure.
