| Try upping the dwell first. It is the last 2 dip switches on the thresholds, not sure what it is on the g3. I know a bunch of threshold owners who have had to use either the highest possible dwell or next to highest to get it consistent.
If that doesn't fix your problem, there is one other thing I'd like you to try. This has happened to a couple of threshold owners. Sometimes the solenoid sticks, and sometimes the dwell helps with it. Try adjusting the regulator all the way off, so there is no pressure going to the gun. Then start increasing pressure while firing. (make sure the eyes are off so it will actually cycle). A lot of times this will reset the solenoid for you and work for a while after that. There is a thread on the dreaded site that has a video showing how easy it is to take apart the solenoid to clean & lube it. In my experience that has solved the problems.
I know the g3 and threshold are similar so hopefully that above will be helpful to you. Please let us know how it goes and what you find. |
