Reading above about all the painful hits, I wonder if the TYPE of paintball has something to do with where you are likely to get hit.
For example- I never play speedball, only woodsball and/or scenerios.
It seems to me that in speedball, you are far more likely to get shot in the jewels for the simple reason that many of the "hits" occur during bunkering, which is when someone runs up to someone who is kneeling. The kneeling player has is holding his gun at... well.. waist level.
OTOH, with woodsball, hits usually occur at a distance, and are usually head, or upper body hits. Cover is trees, so no need to kneel.
