| Yes the spring that pushes the pin down is only a 1/4" from the end of the existing hole in the rear.Once the drill breaks into the spring pocket it should cut or relieve the tension of the spring.then turn the body upsidedown and move the bolt back and forth to help gravity retract the pin.
Even if it only goes down halfway the back side of the hammer rings are rounded so pushing forward on the bolt should allow it to compress enough to get the pin over the front ring on the hammer so it can come out.
