nevermind, just read up on how a slide check work on here:

So in essense if i were to connect the slidecheck in the way proposed above, the tank would vent when ever i have it in the off position. And i can't connect the slidevalve directly even with using SS hose, without resorting to a female to female connector from palmer.

My question is then would be, can i just connect the 1/8 end of the remote line directly to the regulator and leave it pressurize at all time, is this a good idea?
