the easiest way is, connect the remote to the reg, then use the slide check. the remote line will still be pressurized, but it will "keep" as long as there are no leaks. would also suggest using a QD at the end of the slide check. makes life so much easier. and finally, a proconnect can be used in place of BOTH the slide check and QDs, but run a little bit more, but you can find them in the $25-35 range.
