Last Year I Generalled The Viet Cong for Fox4's Apocalypse Scenario. Well, I had some gun issues early in the day and went off field to fix them and have a smoke, during which time we got behind on points, I went back in took command and put us up (with the help of some key teams and players) by a good margin going into the final mission. The Team that is ahead on points going into the final mission is supposed to have the advantage. Yet the producers set us up to have to not only take our recycle point, but our objective was to hang our flag (on an 8 foot pole) in the opposing force's base, which coincidentally was their recycle point. Add to that, the fact that the field's Sponsored Scenario Team, Horror Show, waited for the game on whistle for the final mission and then left the field. After telling me earlier in the day that they were "not going to do missions, we're just here to shoot at Blue's Crew" Yet I never saw Horror Show on Field.
Final Result. An Overwhelming Loss for the Viet Cong because we were assigned a mission with odds stacked so high against us that the mission was unwinnable. Since the boundaries made our recycle point open on all sides, while their recycle point was essentially only approachable from the front. |
I am part of the Immortals. Yeah i remember that final battle all too well. That was TOTAL BS. There was no way in hell we could have taken over our spawn point. We started at the far end of the field, they started at their spawn point, which was coincidentally, not too far from what was supposed to be our spawn point.
Problem is it took their team all of 10 seconds to reach it, took us a few minutes to get all the way across field. By then they were so entrenched we had no way in hell to push them all the way back across the field in that short amount of time.
Didn't help either that our respawn ref was constatntly standing in the wide open firing lanes, so as soon as you tagged in, you got lit up by the other team. That whole battle was TOTALLY stacked against us.
