| Potatoes need a lot of soil depth, which a raised bed can not provide... unless I want to make a raised bed that is a couple of feet high. That much wood or concrete blocks or cribbing is going to cost far more that the $18 for the can and the probably $30 worth of soil that will eventually fill the can. Figure that the can and soil is good for 5 years and I think it works out.
