| So I finally got my Typhoon... Received it in the mail yesterday. Upon opening the box, I thought it looked pretty good, a little dirty, but nothing a few baby wipes can't take care of.
So I tried to cock it - hmmm, hammer won't catch, bolt o-rings are swollen and the bolt barely moves.
I take the grip frame off, after popping the grips and UMB off - oh look, the sear's stuck down. Hmmm, it's rusty and seized in place - won't move - frame, UMB, switch, and hoses, are all covered in old paint, hammer is covered in what looks like old Loctite of some sort, but could be old oil.
So I take the sear out, polish the sear pin, clean the sear up (it was covered in rust) pop the frame back together, and think to myself I should make sure the valve is okay. I take a long Allen key and try to push on the valve stem - stuck. Push a little harder, it moves, finally. Seems pretty free now.
My biggest beef, aside from waiting a nearly a month after paying for it for it to ship, is that the guy sold it as being practically new in box, only used twice, and that it might need a little going over but was in pretty good shape.
Why do people do that?
On a side note, I got it for a pretty good price, so I'm not complaining too much.
