| You could likely get a full-body Sniper if you're willing to wait. Lots of people bought up the super-cheap prostocks and superstocks that were flooding the market for a while and put pump kits on them. One of those or an older boring common cocker body with a pump kit would probably pull about the same as your 98 if it's working and if you can find someone interested . A pump like the hammer or any of a dozen other similar pumps would probably be available quicker. But IMO is more limiting, though they have their fans. The problem will be finding someone who wants a 98 custom project gun. Because it sounds like a bit of a project. You'd likely get much better offers if you were to fix the problems with the 98. I'd think you could probably hold out for a reasonably nice sniper if you were so inclined. Your best bet would probably be to fix the 98, sell it for cash, and then buy a pump gun with the cash. Finding someone looking to sell a decent pump gun who would be interested in that trade may be difficult (or I could be totally wrong). |
