well, most blowbacks and mech markers/pumps have the bolt, which pretty much seals the chamber from the hopper.. eliminating blowback..
and also, ever held a cup under water upside down? it traps the air, and won't fill with water I'm thinking the hopper will do that.. and I think the snap lid on a shake'n bake hopper is a halfway decent seal
