Magnesium Boxgun

Like most of you out there, I had an unused 2"x2-1/4"x20" block of raw magnesium laying around and of course a spare Trracer.
I've been meaning to start a Box gun project and figured, "I'm sure this has probably been done a bunch of times, but here's my try".

Resources:

Parts cut, Trracer harvested for the parts I'll need:

I'm going to turn one of the 1"x1" bars into a body and the other one into a feed tube, retaining the square profile. I'll be making a magnesium drop-out valve and box slide.
The finish will remain raw, as magnesium "weathers" to a dull gray.
I'll cut the stock barrel down to about 5".

Sorry for the dirty lense on the first image, just got back from Cape Hatteras, salt spray on the old Kodak.
