| I am having a similar problem. I cannot for the life of me get the velocity over 200.
My bolt has a rear velocity adjustment screw, but no nut on it. I have washers and a brass nut right now but I don't really know what I'm trying to do with it (basically am I trying to screw the nut/washers on there and draw that screw backwards or was it fine being forwards?) I don't know how the choke in this case works.
My tank psi is 850 output
My hammer spring looks fairly worn. Don't have the tools to get at my valve spring. The inner tube is free of gunk and the hammer is freshly polished
I was going to drill the hammer/rear air fitting to accept spyder springs, though I don't know if that will make it any better. I haven't found anything to shove down to artificially boost the spring power, but I don't know if it would give me the 60 fps boost I'm looking for. Alternatively I could hunt for another spring or attempt to stretch this one, though I'd like to do one before the other obviously
The paint I am using is 689, the weather is a nice 60 degrees and I am not aware of any gremlins lingering about.
Suggestions? A new spring would cost me 20 something from palmers (I am in Canada) so I'm anxious for a home remedy |
