The problem is the nature of this forum.

When asking for a price, it is assumed that it is probobly for sale, and you are looking for a resonsable amount (since prices are required here).

But that puts some people who might want to buy that item in a conflicted position where the realistic value might be more then they want, and were hoping to lowball.

Plus, value is generally very hard to figure out regardless. Today's market is very "throwaway". Hardly anyone keeps a gun longer then a year, which has driven the value down on everything. Just last year, new E-Cockers were selling for $100, etc.
